White might change for the weather Posted on Friday, November 25, 2005 - 18:19 Springbok coach Jake White says he will be prepared to make changes early in the match if it rains or snows in Saturday's big test match against France at the Stade de France. The Boks were still contemplating the possibility that it might snow on the eve of their final tour match. All week the weather forecasters have predicted rain and cold weather for Saturday, with a "possibility" of snow. That has not changed as the match has neared, although late on Friday it was still relatively temperate in Paris. According to White, he is prepared to change the team to suit the conditions, and will not hesitate to ring the changes that will be necessary for a horses for courses approach. “If the conditions that everyone is talking about materialise, then obviously we are going to have to change a few things about our approach. We have had this in mind during training this week and we will be ready to put a different plan into place if it is wet or it snows,” said White. The coach said that this would include a change or two to the team announced this week. While the team will start as selected, it won’t take White long to ring the changes should conditions require it. “I can tell you that both Danie Rossouw and De Wet Barry will come on if we hit wet weather or snow. Those are conditions that would require the sort of game that would suit those two players,” he said. Regardless of whether the Boks win or lose tomorrow, White reckons it has been a successful year for the Boks, even more successful than 2004. “We won a trophy (Tri-Nations) in 2004 but I would still say that this year has been better than last. It has been an improvement.” He is right in saying that if you look just at the statistics. The Boks lost twice in last year’s Tri-Nations, and this year their only defeat was in the final match against the All Blacks. In all, they lost four times during 2004, whereas they have only lost twice this year, and at worst can lose three if they go down tonight. But then it needs to be remembered that the one Bok match which did not end in defeat was a draw to the French in Durban, while some would argue, and with some justification, that the South Africans might have been helped on this tour by not having to play against England. Umaga à la retraite? J'ai entendu pendant le match Ecosse/NZL que Umaga pourrait avoir disputé son dernier match international. Une très bonne nouvelle pour l'EDF, mais une très mauvaise nouvelle pour les amateurs du rugby de mouvement Sinon grand chelem réussit en terre britannique pour les All Blacks. Ce n'est que la deuxième fois que les Néo Z réalisent cela en 100 ans...
Moi mon seul regret c'est que l'EdF n'ait pas encore rencontrée les All Blacks ! Histoire qu'on se fende un peu la poire

Tu dois pas trop y connaître grand chose en rugby Ouin-Ouin;-) Les Sud Af', c'est aujourd'hui pratiquement aussi fort que les Néo Z;-) Et c'est pas pour rien que les Springboxs ont gagné cet été contre les Néo Z dans le Tri-nation.... Ce soir, vu ce qu'on a été capable de produire tu nous mettais n'importe qui, on gagnait...

de toute facon ,Laporte mène tres bien sa barque ,on est bien parti pour faire un grand truc à la coupe du monde aussi non je place les all-blacks et edf aux 2 premieres mondiales avec en 3è l afs et en 4è l angleterre

Moi je trouve qu'on a surtout était fort en défense et c'est cela qui nous a permis d'être conquêrant .
